The Foundation administers eight scholarship programs.  Eligibility requirements vary, so please carefully review the requirements listed for each program.

G. L. & ELSIE H. DOWNING SCHOLARSHIP 
For residents of Mason County, Kentucky

KATIE DESPAIN SCHOLARSHIP  
For graduates of Mason County and St. Patrick High Schools, Maysville, Kentucky

PAT MOORE SCHOLARSHIP  
For graduates of Mason County, St. Patrick, and Fleming County High Schools who were student athletes

HEDGES-BARNETT SCHOLARSHIP
For graduates of Bracken County High School, Brooksville, Kentucky

MATT STAHL SCHOLARSHIP 
For graduates of Mason County and St. Patrick's High Schools, Maysville, Kentucky

ZACHARY RUBLE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP  
For graduates of Mason County High School, Maysville, Kentucky

WILLIAM G. & ROSEMARY REETZ SCHOLARSHIP 
For graduates of Mason County, St. Patrick's, and Riply-Union-Lewis-Huntington (RULH) High Schools

LAURANCE L. BROWNING, JR. SCHOLARSHIP 
For residents of Mason County, Kentucky

LOIS MATHEWSON BRONSON WALDEN SCHOLARSHIP 
For graduates of Lewis County High School, Vanceburg, Kentucky


APPLICATION AVAILABILITY

Application forms are generally made available in February of each year.  Copies can be obtained at the Foundation office, from the counselors at the appropriate high schools, by mail or fax after calling the Foundation office, and by download or printing from this web site.
    
SUBMISSION DEADLINE

The deadline for submission is generally the third week of April, however the date may vary according to the program.  The specific dates and times will be posted on this site, and indicated on each application form.  Renewal forms and materials from current recipients are generally due in early May.

NOTIFICATION OF AWARD

Every effort is made to finalize the selection of recipients by the end of May, but delays are often unavoidable due to the verification process necessary with some of the scholarship programs.

COMMUNITY SERVICE REQUIREMENT (For Recipients, Only)

Once selected, scholarship recipients must complete 10 hours of volunteer community service each year, as a condition of receiving a scholarship, and as a requirement for reapplying to renew a scholarship for additional years.  See the report form and instructions for more information about this requirement.
